Do I Need to Make a Reservation?
We operate on a first-come, first-serve basis but do accept reservations for larger groups (6 or more people). Walk-ins are available at $20 per person for one hour of axe throwing. If we can’t get you in right away, you’ll be placed on a waiting list for the next available slot.
There’s no need to sit around with nothing to do while you wait for your axe-throwing bay to become available. Simply head downstairs to The Corner. Grab a drink at the bar, keep the competitive momentum going with a board game, and indulge in some delicious food.
For more information about scheduling a reservation, contact us directly at (248) 291-5470.
Do You Offer Axe-Throwing Leagues?
You bet we do! It wouldn’t be a friendly competition without a league of dedicated axe-throwers looking to dominate their opponent. For $100, you can be a part of a league that competes in 28 total matches over the course of 7 weeks. Recruit friends and family members to join too, or use this as an opportunity to make new friends with similar interests.
In addition to weekly matches, you’ll also receive $10 walk-in pricing and a free t-shirt. For more information about our axe-throwing leagues, visit our league page today.
Can I Drink Alcohol & Throw Axes?
Unfortunately, drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited while throwing axes. You’re more than welcome to consume alcohol before and after your session, but alcohol is not allowed within the arena.
At Detroit Axe, we want you to have the best time possible, but it’s also our job to keep you and other patrons safe. Because axes are sharp, dangerous objects that need to be handled with care, our axe-throwing experts reserve the right to end your game or refuse your reservation if you are too heavily intoxicated.
How Long Does Each Axe-Throwing Session Last?
Walk-in sessions are an hour-long throwing experience, while reservations are based on a 90-minute time frame.
I’ve Never Thrown an Axe Before. Are There Lessons Provided Beforehand?
We don’t offer lessons, but that shouldn’t stop you from participating in this thrilling sport. Each bay comes equipped with an axe-throwing expert who will coach you on how to hold the axe properly, aim, and release. Once you’ve mastered the two-handed throw, feel free to ask one of our team members how to throw one-handed—we’d be happy to show you all the tips and tricks for getting the axe to stick (and closest to the bullseye).
